Workshop Overview
This workshop is all about getting teens sewing and giving them the confidence to start experimenting with their own sewing machine at home. Have you or your teenager ever wanted to learn how to sew but didn’t know where to start? This beginner-friendly workshop is perfect for teens who are curious about creating their own clothes, accessories, or just want to try something new and know how to use a sewing machine.
No experience needed—just bring your enthusiasm! This workshop is relaxed, fun, and a great way to learn a new skill. Plus, there is a break with an epic hot chocolate and marshmallows to keep energy levels up.
By the end of the day, you’ll know how to set up and use a sewing machine, thread a needle and bobbin, read a basic pattern, and you’ll leave with your own handmade tote bag. The bag will be made from high-quality, eco-friendly recycled canvas—certified by the Global Recycled Standard (GRS)—so it’s as sustainable as it is stylish.
Whether you’re thinking about getting into fashion, upcycling old clothes, or just want to have fun and learn something new, this is a great place to start. And if you love it, we offer follow-up classes where you can learn even more!

Nice things people are saying...
"I spent a lovely afternoon with Mia of Creative Assemble, learning how to use a sewing machine and creating a tote bag which I am very proud of. Mia created a warm environment and allowed everyone to work at their own pace. I would definitely recommend Mia and hope to do an advanced class in the future."
